It's a state park! The ceremony is going to be at an outdoor amphitheater (we'll move it inside if it's raining) and the reception is at an old indoor shelter just a walk in the woods away. It's supposed to be peak fall colors this weekend, so hopefully it's gorgeous!
No, yeah. It's super nontradish and that's the way we like it. Get ready for the most nontraditional wedding you've ever been to! 35 people, in the woods in the middle of nowhere, pie instead of cake... Let's go!
Please respond by September 1, which is also the booking date for the hotel! Please reach out to either Spencer or Jordyn if you have any questions or concerns before RSPVing - or if you can't get it to work because the internet is such a lovely place.
Unfortunately, no. We're keeping this a very small, intimate wedding. Please reach out with any questions.
There's a parking lot both outside of the ceremony location and the reception location and we'll have some signs to help guide you. Just remember to plan ahead for tourist traffic. If you're asked for a park pass, just tell them you're there for the wedding and we've got you covered!
Maybe! It's Northern Minnesota in October so anything goes! We'll keep you updated on forecast, but dress in layers. We will have a fire going and blankets for those who can't handle the cold!
Possibly. At least I hope so! Plan accordingly and remember that boots are perfectly fine. This isn't a fancy wedding, so wear what you're comfortable wearing. Think "north woods business casual". Male Example: Nice pants, dress shirt or sweater, boots, maybe a jacket? Your call. Female Example: Sweater dress and ankle boots.
Hell no! Spencer will throw your phone straight into Mother Superior! We've got a photographer for a reason, but feel free to take as many photos as you'd like during the reception.
Salad, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, Cajun chicken thighs, mac n' cheese, potato salad (we will have vegetarian and gluten free options as well. Please indicate so on your RSVP.)
Well, duh! Technically we're not supposed to, but what the park rangers don't know won't hurt them, so keep it hush hush. There's no formal bar or bartender, but the coolers will be stocked and the booze will be flowing!
Yes.
