Jerrisa worked in Four seasons mall in 2006 and Spencer was shopping with his best bro Marcus for a fraternity ball. Marcus dared him to go into the store and ask Jerrisa out because he needed a date to the ball. The whole time Jerrisa could see this all going down through the window and was praying this random guy wasn't gonna come in and bother her at work. He walked straight to her at the back of the store said his gentlemanly introductions and then asked what you doing later I need a date, Jerrisa replied I'm free and I think I have something to wear! They went out that night and had a ball!

After college, Jerrisa and Spencer grew apart and went on to have families and live in different states. In 2018 Jerrisa jumped in Spencer's DM's after seeing a FB photo of him voting in her state. They went out to eat, rekindled their friendship and it eventually blossomed into a relationship.
