Elia took it seriously, Spencer didn’t. Elia examined each Tinder profile carefully. Spencer went on a continuous swipe marathon waiting for a match. After our “match” came small banter which led to a calculated butt dial which led to a first date on October 24th 2015. The rest has brought us here. Although our love story is one of the modern age of online dating, that doesn’t make it any less romantic. Elia’s perspective, “Finally a great conversation with a polite genuine guy.” Spencer’s perspective, “Finally someone who looks better than their profile picture!” We met on the corner of Lake and Girard in Uptown Minneapolis right in front of Libertine restaurant. We shared a pork chop and cauliflower. Spencer said he was on a cleanse and was eating healthy and that was the most romantic thing Elia had ever heard (somewhat sad). The date was going so well that we didn’t want it to end. So we walked down the street to Elia’s favorite restaurant... Chino Latino. We drank and got a little tipsy. Homage to the fact we felt safe together even on a first date. We didn’t waste any time… get your head out of the gutter! We hung out again the very next weekend on one of the most fun dates we’ve ever had! A corn maze. Severs corn maze in Shakopee where we got lost in the field, fed birds, shot pumpkins out of a cannon, and jumped into a pool of corn kernels (you should really try that sometime). After that we hung out pretty much all the time. We quickly became best friends, travel buddies, confidants, and then, soon to be husband and wife! That is how it all started and we couldn’t be happier for our future together.. #SwitchingToSiegel #BecomingBenitez
