Like most modern love stories, ours started online… thank you, Hinge! Spencer was the one who initiated the first like, but it was mutual. We texted back and forth for a few days before deciding this was too good to be true - we had to meet! We met on Sunday, July 9th, 2023 at Black Dog Coffee House and connected immediately. Conversation went so well that Spencer made himself and his roommate, Zach, late to their kickball game that evening (sorry, Zach!). We spent almost every day together for the rest of the week. So much so, that when Brooke had a family get-together at her uncle’s house the following Sunday, Spencer didn’t even hesitate to ask if he could come along. One simple coffee date kick started the start of our future together. Since then, life together has been full of travel, trying new hobbies together, movie dates, and everything in between - and it’s only gotten better.
