The Old Port is the heart of Portland. It’s full of cobblestone streets, historic brick buildings, waterfront views, and some of the city’s best restaurants and shops. You can wander the fishing piers, grab a drink by the harbor, or explore local boutiques.
This is the most famous lighthouse in Maine and it’s only about 15 minutes from downtown Portland in Cape Elizabeth. Guests can walk the cliffs at Fort Williams Park and get classic Maine coastal views.

If you’re exploring the Old Port, we recommend stopping by Batson River Brewing & Distilling for great food and drinks in a fun atmosphere. It’s also special to us because this is where we had our very first date, so it will always have a special place for us.
If you have some extra time while you’re in Maine, we recommend taking a short trip to Freeport, about 20 minutes from Portland. It’s home to the iconic L.L.Bean flagship store and lots of great outlet shopping, making it a fun place to walk around and explore.
