Tessa and Spencer met during their senior year at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, at Burny’s, where Spencer worked as a bartender and Tessa was a regular. They quickly became friends. Even after graduation, when they lived in different cities, they stayed close through phone calls and visits. Eventually, life brought them both to Omaha, Nebraska. Over breakfast at First Watch in spring 2023, Spencer asked Tessa to be his girlfriend. Life in Omaha was where everything clicked. Between dental school, work events, and everyday adventures around the city, they built a life full of laughter, support, and time spent with the people they love. On October 18, 2025, during a walk through Tessa’s favorite park, Spencer got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She, of course, said yes. Now, as they prepare to say “I do,” they’re also looking ahead to their next adventure, starting their married life together along Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast, where they’re excited to continue building their life side by side. They can’t wait to celebrate this special chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
