Ashton and Spencer met in their sophomore year of college at Texas A&M while working towards their chemical engineering degrees. While in school, they spent a lot of time together in class and in student organizations. They were best friends from the get-go, bonding over running cross country in high school and their hatred for the hills of Decatur, TX. While friends, they spent many of their college highlights together, like planning retreats for incoming chemical engineering students, taking long road trips with their friends, and earning their Aggie rings. During their senior year, they finally decided to trade all the “why not’s” for “I told you so’s” and make it official. After they graduated from college, Spencer moved to Ohio, and Ashton moved to Houston. They spent 2 and a half years taking plane rides to visit each other until Spencer finally moved to Houston in March 2024. Spencer wasted no time and proposed to Ashton on April 5. Of course, she said yes! Now, they are extremely excited to say “I do” and continue their friendship forever!
