We swiped right on Tinder in 2018! Dakota said "thanks for the swipe" and then asked me if I "lived in Richard Ojeda's congressional district....." In the strangest way, it was love! We met for the first time at Black Sheep in Charleston and Dakota shook my hand at the door. We were lost in conversation about politics for almost two hours. We ate chicken quesadillas for the same reason (we didn't want to spill anything on our clothes) and we saw each other every weekend after. On December 27, 2019, Dakota lured me to Black Sheep and shook my hand (like he always did to recreate our first date), but this time he said "I met you here and I'm going to ask you to marry your here." Today, we still shake hands at the door and happily eat messy burritos, chips, and queso together. We are so lucky!
