Leilah grows plants for a living and Evan wires electricity for a living. A magical hometown arboretum fit perfectly! Evan may specialize in lighting, but even he agrees the BEST lighting setup is the sun- especially during golden hour.
Yes, the arboretum prohibits smoking and fireworks anywhere on the grounds. Please respect the space by following all rules posted.
Garden cocktail! Think cottagecore, florals, and flowy fabrics fit for a garden party. The ceremony takes place outdoors, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Thin heels may be tricky on grass and garden paths.
Our ceremony is rain or shine. If the forecast looks rainy, we recommend bringing an umbrella just in case!
We encourage you to capture the love & details before the ceremony. But, we kindly ask you tuck away your phones during the ceremony. We’ve hired an incredible photographer, Brianna Pflug to capture everything, so guests can relax and be in the moment.
Parking is available in two lots at Laurelwood Arboretum. Please note: the parking lot is locked at sunset by local police, so make sure your car is moved before dinner.
Dinner will take place at Arca, about a 15-20 minute drive from the ceremony location. We've planned about an hour between the ceremony ending and dinner starting, so guests have plenty of time for the drive, traffic, and parking.
Yes, possibly too many! But is there really such a thing? Our personal favorites are the gingko & bonsai trees, along with the digitalis in bloom in June!
We're setting everything up ourselves with help from family and friends. If you feel like lending a quick hand after the ceremony- like gathering a few decorations or helping us load things into the car-we'd truly appreciate it! There will be a fun golf cart joy ride involved! Many hands make light work, and it helps us get to dinner faster.
