Friday, April 14th 2023, Drew first saw Amanda while waiting in the lobby of a downtown apartment complex for a party that was being hosted by mutual friends. Few words were exchanged, introductions were brief, but Drew knew instantly that Amanda would be on his mind the rest of the night. Later that evening, Drew finally got his chance at a conversation with the lobby-goddess, and totally blew it by revealing his age which happened to be much younger than Amanda had assumed, likely a result of his numerous requests for Bob Seger, Meat Loaf, and others whose names Amanda recognized solely from her father's vinyl collection. Following the initial panic came a meaningful connection, one that grew as the night progressed. It didn't take long for the texting to start, and two weeks later they planned to meet again. In true fairy-tale fashion, the kind that every girl dreams of, Amanda was asked on a formal date… draft beer at the Carmel Sun King. As they talked, Amanda knew something was different, and certainly not what she expected. They spoke of family and beliefs, purpose and goals, and all the things you wouldn't expect to discuss so early on. By night's end, Amanda's confidence in her decision to give Drew a chance was affirmed when he gave her his jacket, walked her to the car, and opened her door. While sweet in the moment, and cliché for a date, she knew in her heart that this wasn't for show. She could tell that he was genuine in everything he did, and that he always would be. He was nothing like she expected, but everything she didn't want to live without. Years passed and their relationship grew deeper. From Fishers to Broad Ripple, then Carmel, then Westfield, the life they began sharing together was never dull. The little adventures they took with one another, the family time they cultivated, and the endless moments of love are what led them to this point in life. Now, in their first home together, Amanda and Drew couldn't be happier to begin this next chapter beginning May 22nd and lasting forever.
