We're getting married!

Bridget and Adam met at UMass Amherst during Bridget’s freshman year and Adam’s sophomore year. During the first week of school, they both attended the club fair where they were randomly pulled from the crowd (presumably based on their respective heights) to join the Men’s Rowing Club - despite having absolutely no rowing experience and very little understanding of what rowing actually involved. As beginners, Bridget became the coxswain for the freshman novice boat, while Adam rowed in the 7-seat. Between early morning practices, questionable weather conditions, and spending far too much time on the Connecticut River, the two spent much time together, though neither of them could have predicted where things would eventually lead. A few years later, during the era of remote classes and social distancing, both Bridget and Adam decided to stay on or near campus while many students headed home. With entertainment options at an all-time low, Bridget and her roommate frequently ended up hanging out at Adam and his roommate’s apartment. What started as a college friendship eventually turned into a relationship, and the rest fell into place from there. Neither of them expected a random stop at the club fair to turn into this, but they’re both glad it did!
