Maid of Honor
Briana and Sara met over a Diced Poke sample at an apartment complex event (RIP Diced Poke). Though they likely crossed paths at 1010 Apartments during Tri Delta pre-games while both attending ISU, they didn’t officially meet until moving down to Houston post-grad. A tiny poke sample grew into years of shared leases. Bri is the friend who’s always down for an adventure—whether a 16-hour drive back to Illinois, trip to visit family in Colorado or Maryland, weekend getaway, or a spontaneous strip mall shopping spree.
Best Man
Ross and Shawn met after Shawn returned from military school, when Ross lived in the same Lake Conroe neighborhood as Shawn. Their friendship grew on Renaissance Festival campgrounds, Bonnaroo trips, snowboarding adventures, and shared living spaces. Ross has been a constant through every season of life—best friend, roommate, and even the person who sold Shawn and Sara their house.
Bridesmaid
Cheyenne was Sara’s first Tri Delta friend at ISU and one of her roommates in the iconic quad-bedroom in the basement of the TDM (Tri Delta Mansion for those unfamiliar). Their friendship included numerous ISU adventures, many nights slamming Burnett’s shots in frat basements, barely surviving an underage trip to the U of I bars (their first run-in with the law), and living together in the 1010 apartments junior year. Ten years ago, they promised to stand in each other’s weddings - and now that promise is coming true.
Groomsman
Rob was one of the many friends Shawn met while working at Pappadeaux’s (which clearly doubled as a groomsmen development program). They were mutual friends at first, but their bond really grew through the GG Golf Gang, work lunches, and noon Astros games.
Bridesmaid
Alexa was the Tri Delt chapter president sophomore year and the friend everyone counted on to keep things in order - whether running the chapter, warning about sorority house “alcohol inspections,” or holding everyone accountable in standards (including Sara on one occasion). Before student teaching back at home, Sara, Alexa, and Gretchen shared a 1010 apartment for their last semester together at ISU.
Groomsman
Adam and Shawn met on Shawn’s 21st birthday, when Shawn was a little annoyed that Adam showed up even though they hadn't yet met. The next day, they hung out again (oddly enough, it was Adam’s birthday) and bonded over baseball and crude humor. They’ve been friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Sara didn’t know each other well until they decided to become roommates in the basement of the TDM (quad living got old fast). They spent countless nights on their sorority house bunk beds watching Vines and laughing until they cried, and even shared a summer semester at ISU. Over the years, they’ve taken several trips to visit each other in Houston and Phoenix, and this year, they get to stand beside each other in their weddings - a full-circle moment a decade in the making.
Groomsman
Shawn and Brandon first bonded while working at Pappadeaux’s in the burbs - which, as you’ve probably noticed, has produced a solid percentage of today’s groomsmen. They later lived together in an apartment in the Heights, where they perfected the art of “helping the team” from the couch on game days. They share a love of cheap eats and strong drinks, especially at their favorite Heights spots, T-Bone and Hughie’s. Shawn stood up in Brandon’s wedding in 2022, and this year Brandon gets to return the favor.
Bridesmaid
Gretchen lived with Alexa and Sara senior year, and they’ve only grown closer since graduation. It’s become tradition to spend a day at Gretchen’s house every trip home - even after Millie claimed the guest bedroom as her own.
Groomsman
Zach met Shawn when he moved to the city. Known for their shared love of “bopping it” at the Houston bars, Zach remained a constant presence as other friends moved out of the city and started families. Sara first met Zach at the Astros World Series parade in 2022, and he’s been a close friend of the couple ever since.
Bridesmaid
Danielle has been part of Sara and Shawn’s Houston life since the early days of their relationship. From nights out, afternoons at the brewery, group dinners, and everything in between, she’s shared plenty of good times with them over the years. Having been part of their relationship from the beginning until today, it only felt right for her to stand by Sara on their wedding day!
Groomsman
Paul is a dedicated duck hunter and fisherman from the Dirty Bay and has known Shawn for nearly 15 years. They met working at Pappadeaux’s in college - yet another success story from Shawn’s time there - and have been friends ever since.
Ring Bearer
11-year-old nephew of Shawn and Sara, son of Brooke (Shawn’s sister) and Andy Raish.

Junior Bridesmaid
13-year-old niece of Shawn and Sara, daughter of Brooke (Shawn’s sister) and Andy Raish.
Flower Girl
7-year-old niece of Shawn and Sara, daughter of Brooke (Shawn’s sister) and Andy Raish, Shawn’s goddaughter, and the lead flower girl.
Flower Girl
1½-year-old niece of Shawn and Sara, daughter of Emily (Shawn’s sister) and Jonny Drennan, and an avid LSU fan and New Orleans girly.
