House Or Rental
In September 2023, New York City enacted a law imposing new regulations on short-term rentals, making the vast majority of rentals on platforms like Airbnb and VRBO illegal. As a result, nearly all hosts in NYC have had to shut down their short-term rental operations unless they comply with very strict guidelines, which include the following: - Hosts are not permitted to rent out entire apartments or units. - Hosts must reside in the rental unit with the guests for the entire duration of their stay. - No more than two guests are allowed at a time. For these reasons, we strongly advise our guests to avoid short-term rental situations. Due to this law, there is a higher risk of scams, illegal bookings, or legal rentals being terminated after you have made your reservation.
Flight
LGA and JFK are the most convenient airports when traveling to NYC. Both are less than an hour drive from the venue, and JFK offers convenient connection to the city's subway system. Uber, Lyft, and Taxis are all available at the airports. EWR is also an option, but is located in New Jersey and will require more travel after you land.
Train
Amtrak is a great option for those located in and around areas from Washington D.C. to Boston, and will take you directly into Manhattan. The LIRR or NJT lines are great for those located on Long Island or in New Jersey. Our venue and the surrounding neighborhood are easily accessible via the NYC subway system.
Travel Note
There are a number of bus services that will bring you to NYC and they are a great economical option for traveling guests. If you intend to drive yourself, please note that NYC is the most congested city in the United States, and parking is sometimes difficult to find and maintain outside of expensive garages. NOTE: Guests staying at The Hotel Indigo have access to their underground parking garage for an additional daily fee.
