Although many of you know the back story, we thought it might not hurt to share a few more details on how Parker and Sara came to be. In 1995, Parker and Sara participated in cotillion at the Rockwood Women's Club in Santa Barbara. One night, Parker asked Sara to dance. She was instantly smitten with his cute looks and reserved demeanor. Three years later, Sara and her family moved to Santa Ynez, Ca. It was then that Sara realized Parker and his twin brother (the best man) went to the same school she had transferred to. Summer of Parker's freshman year and Sara's 8th grade year, he sent her postcards from his cruise to the Bahamas. (Fifteen years later, she still had the postcards and decided to show them to him a month into dating. The fact that he didn't run was a good sign.) Following high school, Parker moved to San Luis Obispo, Ca. and Sara to Chico, Ca. They did not see or talk to one another for ten years. As fate should have it, April of 2015 they reconnected via Facebook when they realized that both were attending the country music festival, Stagecoach! Two months later, Parker had left his apartment in San Francisco and was conveniently located in Santa Barbara next to Sara and his family. They have been together ever since. Cute? We think so. Sappy? Just a tad. But you already knew that about us.
