A long-time staple in Saint Paul! The ground level offers pastries, gelato, an Italian market, and cafeteria-style dining (pizza, sandwiches, salads, pasta). The upper floors include a sit-down restaurant & sports bar. We recommend the Italian Hero and a cannoli.

We recommend sitting at the bar, trying the martini of the day, and splitting an order of the potato chips & dip. Note that they have limited seating, so this isn't recommended for groups of more than four.

A 15-minute drive from downtown, Como Zoo & Conservatory is admission-free with a recommended donation of only $4 per person. The zoo has indoor & outdoor animal exhibits from orangutans to a polar bear. The conservatory is worth the trip on its own and is hot & humid on even the coldest days. Don't forget to look for the sloth who lives in the conservatory - his habitat is to the left of the main entrance, while most of the conservatory is located to the right.
