We met on a Tuesday at the Elbo Room, in San Francisco, California. The Elbo Room was hosting a Brazilian music party, and we both were separately involved in community drumming & dance. Pedro approached Shagun to dance. Later, Shagun decided to go home but could not find her coat. Because it was cold and late, Pedro offered to drive her home. From there, the story will be different depending on who you ask. Pedro "found" the coat back at the bar later that night and he coordinated to return the coat to her later that week. When he came to return the coat, he asked her to dinner which was their 1st date. Shagun believes Pedro conspired to steal her coat as an excuse to contact her. She also thinks he returned her coat in a dry-cleaning bag but did not in fact dry clean it. Pedro denies all allegations.
