We are thrilled to invite our friends and family to join us on our wedding day at the historic Gwyn Careg Inn in Pomfret Center, Connecticut. We plan to have an outdoor ceremony in the Inn's gardens, followed by a cocktail hour and reception indoors.
Alex and Danielle met online at the end of their senior years of college. Alex was finishing up at Mankato State University as Danielle was wrapping up her time at St. Olaf College. They talked online, texted and called each other on the phone for two months before they actually met in person, writing each other letters and bonding over their favorite books, movies, games and travel plans. When they met in person in July 2018, they both deleted the dating apps for good. They spent the next year traveling together in Europe and the United States, spending the beginning of Covid-19 apart until they moved to Madison, Wisconsin together so that Danielle could go to graduate school. After two years in the land of beer and cheese curds, they moved to Boston for jobs and to be closer to friends. That’s where they would find their furry best friend, Ella, a grey tabby cat, that they adopted in December of 2022. In the Spring of 2024, Alex knelt down and asked Danielle to marry him (in French) in a Champagne vineyard outside of Reims, France that overlooks the Marne River Valley. Danielle said ‘Oui!’ without hesitating, and they celebrated with more Champagne and macarons from La Durée.
