It all started on a quiet Sunday night on 13th and East Passyunk: Sarah had just left her bowling league, and Evan was getting an attitude adjustment with his coworkers after a long shift. They sat one bar stool away from each other in an otherwise empty Lucky 13 Pub. After a while of chatting with his coworkers, Evan thinks to himself "this girl in a Phillies hat is pretty cute... maybe I can get her number" and so they started talking. And talking, and talking, and talking... until Sarah remembered she had a big day at work the next day and had to go home. But they did exchange numbers and planned to meet for happy hour the next day. Sarah had been worried about work because it was her first day at a new job. She didn't look at her phone all day and didn't text Evan until around 4pm "Hey are we still on for happy hour?" Meanwhile in South Philly, Evan had given up hope that Sarah would ever text him back. He was getting ready to train Mui Thai and had wrapped his hands. When he saw the text come in, he grabbed a pair of scissors and cut the wraps off. Yes, they were still going to see each other! They both knew they wanted to see each other again. So, they did. The next day. After dinner, they decided that they weren't going to see anyone else. That was August 2022 and so much has happened since then. Moving in together in Pennsport, going on vacation to Puerto Rico (twice), adopting a kitten, Evan went back to school, Sarah started taking her exams... Thank you for being with us along the way.
