How we met...

CoverMyLoveStory

The couple met at work, CoverMyMeds, in 2016 when Emily noticed a cute bearded fellow, Nate, at the water cooler wearing a University of Cincinnati t-shirt. Later this same day, Nate stopped by Emily's desk to introduce himself. Little did she know, he intentionally wore the shirt to grab Emily's attention (UC is Emily's Alma Matter). After a few months of work chatting and slow-pitch softball playing, Emily and Nate took their first trip to Pittsburgh together. Not only was this weekend important because Emily was meeting Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, but she was also being introduced to Nate's first love, the Pittsburgh Pirates. The weekend was a success and the deal was done; they became a couple in August of 2016. Emily and Nate moved in together in 2017 and quickly began sharing hobbies like loving their dog Ruca, lifting, sports, all things Pittsburgh, travel and more.

The 14,439' Engagement...

One of Emily's favorite hobbies is hiking mountains in Colorado. Nate and Emily had planned a trip to Denver to visit Emily's friend and to also watch the Pirates play the Rockies. First stop before the baseball game, hike the tallest peak in all of Colorado, Mt Elbert! After about 6 hours of hiking elevation, the group of 3 made it to the top summit. Emily's friend Megan offered to take a picture of the couple at the top. Nate recommended the second picture be facing away from the camera overlooking the mountains. While turned around, little did Emily know Nate was behind her on one knee. She finally turned around and was both shocked and completely elated. After many tears, laughs, hugs, and words that aren't remembered, Emily said YES and the mountain engagement celebration began!

Our Least Favorite 'C' Word... COVID!

We were originally set to be married on December 31, 2020. Due to the increased severity around COVID19, the wedding was officially postponed with only 45 days to go. Never did we imagine a pandemic would get in the way of us officially becoming Mr and Mrs Campbell. After lots of stress, tears, and strategic venue conversations we officially set a new date of December 18, 2021! We know the vision of our wedding day will be different from the original plan, but we are hopeful and excited to celebrate our mock New Years Eve Wedding with more of our family and friends in 2021! We hope everyone is staying healthy, safe, and finding new hobbies. We can't wait to dance with you!
