Once upon a time … Soumeya and Kyle met in January 2020 on the dating app "Hinge." Kyle liked Soumeya's photo, and the two began talking non-stop. They didn't think twice about meeting in person. They met at Local Option bar at 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020, Kyle had just finished his volleyball game, and Soumeya had just finished her pole dance class. They talked for several hours. Kyle texted Soumeya the next day to tell her that he had made origami frogs (one of the many animals Soumaya mentioned she had in her small apartment), and he offered to give them to her if she agreed to go on a second date. Soumeya was blown away by this novel idea, and she agreed to go on a second date with him. They began dating and going on many adventures together after that. In March 2020, COVID happened, followed by a complete lockdown. It was a horrendous time for everyone. But not for Soumeya and Kyle, both of them came up with creative dating ideas since all the typical date spots were all closed. This necessary and immediate time together has accelerated their relationship. After a few months, they began to fall in love and became increasingly attached to each other. They enjoyed doing activities and going on adventures together. Kyle admired Soumeya's unique ideas and activities. They were always on the go, having fun; they visited many places and took various classes together, such as arts crafts classes; where they made soap, bath bombs, candles, mosaic, bonsai and paintings. There were also salsa dance classes, woodworking, cooking, pottery, camping, ziplining, climbing, whitewater rafting, biking, picnics, trips to Six Flags, movie nights, museum visits, zoo visits, miniature golf, escape rooms, haunted houses... and so much more. After dating for two and a half years, Soumeya and Kyle knew they were destined for each other and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together… They decided to get married in a heart beat. Kyle took Soumeya on a trip to Minnesota to attend the state fair in September 2022. On the second day of Friday in the fair, Kyle proposed to Soumeya on the sky ride over the fairgrounds. It was such a unique and magical moment, filled with emotions and pure happiness. At the moment, Kyle and Soumeya are preparing to get married and they are so excited to start this wonderful journey together.
