Arriving into Split Airport (SPU) is the most popular route to the island. Upon arrival, getting to Hvar involves two steps: reaching the Split ferry port and taking a catamaran/ferry to the island. You can reach the main Split ferry terminal (located in the city center) via:Airport Shuttle/Bus or Taxi. The Ferry Crossing: High-speed catamarans run daily from the Split port directly to Hvar Town. The catamaran takes approximately 50–60 minutes. We highly recommend booking your tickets in advance during peak season via operators like Jadrolinija, Kapetan Luka (Krilo), or TP-Line.

Dubrovnik (DBV) is a great option as well. We hope you have the chance to visit during your time in Croatia, and on the way to Hvar, you can enjoy a scenic cruise up the Dalmatian coast. The Dubrovnik ferry port (Gruž) is located about 20–25 km from the airport. You can take the airport shuttle bus, which runs to the main bus station in Gruž, or a taxi/Uber for a more direct option. There are direct high-speed catamaran services that connect Dubrovnik to Hvar Town. This is a longer, scenic journey taking approximately 3 and a half hours. Booking: Because this route is a popular day trip, ferries can sell out quickly in the summer. Please book your tickets well in advance through Kapetan Luka (Krilo) or TP-Line. Important note: Seasickness: If you are sensitive to motion, the sea can occasionally be choppy; you may want to have travel-safe medication on hand just in case.
