Once upon a time at a college party, Ashley saw this weirdo watching tv in full Pittsburgh gear. She walked over and said “Cool shirt!” And the two chatted for a while before he said “My name’s Matt, add me on Instagram”. Come to find out he was also the guy driving her and her date home! Ashley continued to go on dates with the other guy for another month or so till summer came. Later that summer, Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs where the Pittsburgh Penguins vs Washington Capitals was on tv and Ashley decided to message Matt on Instagram about a crazy play. He immediately responded “I AM AT THE GAME! IT IS INSANE” They were instant best friends from that point forward. When it was time for school to start back in the fall, they planned to get to town the night before move in day. Ashley stood in the Microtel parking lot with excitement as Matt pulled in, said “Hi, long time no see!” and Ashley jumped in the passenger seat. That night they went to Cookout for their first date! Fancyyyy right?! And they sat and chatted for several hours before Matt dropped Ashley back off. Several months later - after hanging out all the time - Matt asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. From there they only had more fun spending time together and growing alongside each other! Fast forward to 2024 they have two cute pups and a love that is stronger than ever!
