Souad and Dylan met while they were in Community College at the end of 2020. At first, Dylan got "friend-zoned" by Souad however, Dylan first caught Souad's attention by pretending to be "just in the area" and bringing her coffee "just cause". As community college was coming to a close, and transfer applications were due, Souad and Dylan applied to universities across California. Souad got accepted at San Diego State and Dylan got accepted at UCSD. Separated only by a 20 minute drive, they would see each other frequently studying and making mutual friends and always enjoying the sunny beaches of southern California. Throughout that journey, there was highs and lows but one thing remained constant. They were always there for each other. We started falling in love slowly, as we navigate our differences and enjoy our common interests, mainly our love for exploring new restaurants. Who knew Dylan would love Lebanese Food? Not Souad! One of the most memorable moments for Dylan is seeing Souad bite on a RAW onion like an apple. Soon enough, Dylan would not only eat an onion raw, but also fall in-love with Middle Eastern food, culture and of course, Souad.
