London has a few airports but Heathrow is just about 20 minutes from the wedding venue at Hedsor House, and Windsor where we will have our welcome party on Thursday evening. Please note: In 2025 Americans will need pre-authorization to travel to London. Scroll down for details on that and website to register.

Chequers Inn

This lovely inn is our room block hotel, think 'The Holiday.' It’s five minutes from our venue. We have reserved the entire inn. There is a lovely bar and restaurant on property. We had a lovely lunch here while scoping out hotels. Rooms range from $140 pound for standard room to $200 for a suite. Updated April 18* Rooms will be on hold until April 25th. For our out-of-town guests, looking to do more site seeing, we recommend a stay in Windsor, just 20 minutes from our venue. You can visit the Castle, walk to shops, bars and restaurants along the Thames or venture into the Ivey for an afternoon tea

This is a lovely hotel about 20 minutes from our venue on the high street in Windsor, right across from the castle. This hotel is walking distance to everything Windsor has to offer. If you choose to stay in Windsor this is one of our recommended hotels.

Train

The Elizabeth Line

If you opt to stay in Central London, the brand new climate controlled Elizabeth Line trains stop at Taplow, a 5 minute taxi/uber to Hedsor House. Expect a 55-60 minute journey. Windsor & Eton station has trains into London Paddington and London Waterloo. Expect a 60-75 minute journey.

Americans Travel Requirement

You will need a valid US Passport, check that your passport is valid! It can take 3 months to get a new one! Starting in January, you will also need to get electronic authorization. It takes 3 days to process and is valid for 6 months. We recommend doing this as soon as possible. The cost is $10 pound.
