Our love story began in late summer of 2015 when our paths crossed through dancing. I believe it was fate, destiny, and a blessing from God. Everything just happened naturally and organically over time. We were meant to be...:)
When we first started dating, I thought she was so nice, sweet, and innocent. We had such an amazing time together smiling, laughing, and enjoying every moment together. We both were having strong feelings for one another and thought, Is this Love? I knew in my heart that she was the one for me, and I proposed. And now we're getting married because she's making me do it. This is the short version and partially true. The long version is next. In the fall of 2016, I booked a cruise on Carnival Inspiration to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. I thought it would a perfect getaway trip to propose since it was the first cruise for both of us. Day 1 of sailing and Day 2 of excursions on and around Catalina Island were so busy that I got nervous and didn’t propose. Day 3 in Ensenada was my last chance. We toured Ensenada by bus, making a final stop at La Bufadora, a natural spout that shoots sea water 60 to 100 feet in the air. The tour guide gave us one hour to sightsee, eat, and shop. The hour flew by so fast, and I lost track of time. The guide was calling us back to the bus. I knew it had to be now or never. My heart was racing. I told Sori, I need to show you something. She said, we need to leave. I grabbed her hand and took her to the beautiful La Bufadora view. I told her I couldn’t imagine my life without her and that I loved her. I got down on my knee and asked her to marry me. She got teary-eyed and said YES...:)
