It all started back in 2019, when Sophie met Marah and they moved to Montana together. Even though Sophie and Sam shared many of the same circles, their paths didn’t actually cross until a few years later. In 2022, everything changed at a Hippie Sabotage concert. Sophie was getting ready with friends when Sam walked in carrying tacos for everyone—an early sign he was something special. Later that night, Sophie stepped away from the crowd and asked Sam (easy to spot at 6’4”) to hold a glow stick up so she could find her way back. In true Sophie fashion, she got distracted and lost track of time. Nearly an hour later, she returned to find Sam still standing there, glow stick raised exactly where she left him. She couldn’t believe it. After that night, Sam got Sophie’s number, and about a month later they went on their first date at a pool bar in Logan, Utah. While playing with a random couple, they mentioned it was their first date. The couple laughed and said, “Wait- we thought you two were already married!” Four years later, here we are.
