FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Short answer: semi-formal, whatever you feel good in! Long answer, we're punk dykes with a love of gothic styles. If you've got a steampunk top hat, skull shaped cuff links, a floor length gown and cape? Roll up and rock it! We don't take ourselves too seriously and we hope you won't either.

Question

What kind of food are we having?

Answer

We'll have caprese and roasted veggies for appetizers, and for dinner there will be a meaty cheesy pasta dish and a taco bar with vegan and gluten free options, plus cupcakes and tasty dessert shooters (fancy pudding cups). If you have any further questions about allergies or restrictions let the brides know at least 2 weeks before the wedding and we'll make sure there is something delicious for you to eat!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Kids are absolutely allowed, but they'll probably be bored. We'll have a quiet sensory room in the back if the party gets too loud, but there won't be much entertainment or pint-sized friends to be found, as there weren't many kids on the guest list. That being said, if cupcakes and fake tattoos make a good evening for your kid, they're more than welcome to come party!

Question

If we're only invited to the reception, when are you getting married?

Answer

Our courthouse ceremony is on Monday, February the 23rd, our anniversary! In 2019 we went on our first date to see a local theater show and talked for hours over a tiny table at Hard Times. Now we're engaged, living in SLP with our tuxedo kitty Gomez. 7 years is going by so fast!

Question

Did you really plan a wedding for February in Minnesota?

Answer

Yes, yes we did. Could we possibly get snowed out? Yes. Will the parking lot be icy? Probably. Will the coat rack collapse under the weight of all those coats? Nope, there will be plenty of coat room! We wanted to get married on our anniversary, and this was the closest weekend. If you can't party when it's cold, no problem, we'll celebrate with you another time! Just respond and let us know you can't make it, and we'll toast our tacos in your honor (and eat your share).
