Despite both being Peace Corps Volunteers in Senegal, we did not meet until we were being evacuated in March of 2020 for COVID-19. All 300+ volunteers in the country were at the training center getting ready to leave. There were 60 dinner bowls (in Senegal you eat communally from a big bowl which don't worry we will not be doing at the wedding) and only 6 bowls for vegetarians. Pen and Sophie sat next to each other, they both had two french braids in. Pen was funny and charming and Sophie had a nice smile. Now here we are!
