Question

Where should we fly into?

Answer

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport BZN is the closest airport and it is about a 40 minute drive!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes! Unless you are coordinating with someone who can pick you up from the airport and transport you throughout the weekend, we recommend renting a car at the Bozeman airport.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather could do just about anything in fall in Montana but plan for 60s and lower temps into the evening. The last few falls have been very warm into mid-October but it's always possible we get snow! We'll send weather updates once we're closer to the wedding date.

Question

Is it safe to hike in bear country?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to enjoy the beauty of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and being informed on bear safety can help you to feel more confident in your adventures. When hiking in bear country, keep the following in mind: The more popular hikes will usually have less wildlife activity, travel in groups of 3 or more, carry bear spray and know how to use it, make noise while you hike to avoid spooking wildlife, be familiar with and look for bear sign such as scat, tracks, carcasses, torn up logs, holes dug for food.
