We're Getting Married!

Mateo and Sophie met at their church in March of 2009. The day Sophie met Mateo, she told her mother, "I met the cutest boy today, and I'm going to marry him one day." And that day has come! After 8 years of mutual unspoken crushes, the couple finally went on their first date to the movie theaters on July 3rd 2017 and have been together ever since. A year into their relationship, Mateo was called to serve a mission in Rancagua Chile for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a result, the couple continued their relationship long distance for almost two years until he returned home in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. On November 7th 2020, Mateo proposed to Sophie on the beach as the sun set at Devil's Lake State Park. Mateo and Sophie's favorite things to do together are hiking, road tripping, site seeing, and trying new things. After the wedding, the couple will be embarking on their longest road trip yet. In September they will be moving to Idaho where they will be continuing their education and taking on all new adventures. - We are so excited for this new season of life together, and we cannot wait to be married! We are so thankful for all of you, and cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of the people we love!
