Our Story

It started on New Year's Eve, 2016: two freshmen in high school, at a party neither of them had any reason to remember. Then midnight hit, the countdown ended, and two kids who had barely met found themselves sharing a New Year's kiss. It was supposed to mean nothing. Instead, it was the beginning of everything. A few months later, on April Fool's Day, Josh finally worked up the nerve to ask Sophie to be his girlfriend, with a built-in escape hatch just in case: if she said no, he'd claim he was only joking. She didn't let him off that easy. Her yes was real, and they never looked back. They went to rival high schools and cheered from opposite sidelines, but it never mattered. They grew up side by side through every stage of life, from prom to graduation, first jobs to real careers. Through every win and every setback, they showed up for each other, no matter what. Along the way, Sophie taught Josh how to ski in Deer Valley, Utah, and sent him down blues on day one. He survived, and it became one of their favorite traditions. When it came time for college, they built their future together at the University of San Diego, graduating side by side with degrees in finance and real estate. After graduation, they moved back home to Phoenix, where their lives grew even more intertwined. Sophie went into commercial real estate brokerage and Josh into real estate development, two careers in the same industry, always celebrating each other's wins and always each other's first call. At home, they are a true team, each bringing out the best in the other. Their house is full of laughter, love, and one very famous dog. Mr. Remington, their Australian Labradoodle, joined the family in November 2025 and goes everywhere with them. Ask around town and someone will know Remy, whether by his fluffy hair or the boots he wears on walks. Exactly nine years to the day after that first kiss, on New Year's Eve 2025, Josh knew exactly how he wanted to make it official: another ski trip. They returned to Deer Valley, Utah, where he got down on one knee and asked Sophie to spend forever with him. It was the easiest yes she has ever had to say. From that first midnight kiss to April Fool's Day to Deer Valley, one thing has never changed: the words they say to each other every day. I love you forever and ever, always, no matter what. They found each other early, and they never let go. Now, they can't wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who have supported their love story from the very beginning, and yes, Remy too.
