I was a server, and he was a line cook. Little did we know that this seemingly ordinary meeting would be the start of something extraordinary. Although we initially connected professionally, it didn't take long for us to realize there was a special connection between us. We officially started dating on December 7, 2019, and from that moment, our love story began to unfold. The world was soon faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, and like many others, we found ourselves navigating the uncertainties of these challenging times. In March 2020, we made the decision to move in together, seeking comfort and companionship during the lockdown. We settled in Newport, where we formed a strong bond, getting to know each other intimately as we shared our lives in close quarters. One thing that brought us even closer was our mutual love for cooking. We spent countless hours exploring new recipes and delighting in preparing meals for one another. The kitchen became our sanctuary, where we poured our hearts and creativity into dishes that nourished our bodies and souls. As the pandemic progressed, we decided to make another significant change. In September 2020, we moved into my family house in Coventry, embarking on a journey of renovating and restoring the property together. Through the sweat, hard work, and shared vision, we transformed the house into a home that reflected our love and dedication. During this time, we were joined by Cassanova, Jamahl's beloved Dogo who stole my heart and became my baby. Cassanova came with us when we moved to Coventry and brought an extra dose of love and joy into our lives. He is the most sassy and lovable pup ever, adding endless laughter and snuggles to our daily routines. Through it all, Cassanova has become an integral part of our family. His unconditional love and playful spirit remind us to cherish the simple joys in life and find happiness in every moment. During my journey to become a massage therapist, Jamahl helped me keep my head high, providing unwavering support as I pursued my dreams. His love and encouragement were instrumental in my success. And then, right after my graduation, Jamahl surprised me during our pictures with a proposal. The joy and surprise overwhelmed me as he got down on one knee, expressing his love and commitment to spend the rest of our lives together. It was a magical and unforgettable moment, a culmination of our shared experiences and the strength of our bond. Now, as we look forward to our future, we carry with us the memories of our journey, the challenges we overcame, and the love that grew stronger through it all.
