Our Story
January 15, 2021: Sophie & Ethan matched on Hinge. Over pizza, wine, and the ever-popular card game "We're Not Really Strangers", they skipped small talk and went straight to the emotional deep end.
The deal was sealed for Ethan when six weeks later, Sophie agreed to go camping in a yurt during a blizzard (Ethan’s favorite kind of weather!) with only peanut butter, jelly and a loaf of bread. Sophie knew Ethan was a keeper when she could belt out songs at all hours and he didn’t just tolerate it - he enjoyed it.
Over the next two years, they managed to grow their romance despite being in a Manhattan long-distance relationship, separated by the 115 blocks between Morningside Heights and Nolita. They frequently visited Pine Bank Arch in Central Park and it became their favorite spot, filled with laughter and long talks. It was only fitting that Ethan chose this very place (and yes, it was snowing!) to pop the question. They cannot wait to celebrate with all their favorite people!
