How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Please see the map above. It is a very short walk from the entrance to the park at 5th Street and Prospect Park West. Just follow signs towards the Picnic House! If you enter "Prospect Park Picnic House" into Google Maps, the app gives very accurate walking directions. We will also be providing a shuttle service from the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn. What is the dress code?

Answer

We are affectionately calling the dress code "cozy cocktail!" Cocktail attire, but feel free to include sweaters or scarves to match the fall season. Please note that the ceremony will be outdoors so we recommend avoiding stiletto heels.

Is the reception indoors?

Yes! While the ceremony is outside, the reception will be fully heated and indoors.

Please let us know if you plan on bringing your littlest ones, so we can make sure we have high-chairs available.

Are there things to do near the venue?

Answer

The Picnic House is located right in the heart of the Park Slope neighborhood. Both 7th and 5th avenues have wonderful shopping, restaurants, and coffee shops if you'd like to take a stroll before the event. We recommend starting at 9th street and 7th avenue, and walking north (towards 8th street) all the way down.
