We're getting married!

We connected on Bumble in Edmond, Oklahoma in June of 2021. Our first date was at Fuzzy's Taco Shop and Sophie's dog Mabel tagged along. Colin was pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and Sophie was in the middle of her Master's program for Speech-Language Pathology. Life became hectic, and the two remained acquaintances. However, the red string theory didn't let the two separate. Don't know what that means? Let us help. Red String Theory: The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. Not buying it? Here's the evidence. Sophie moves from Oregon to Oklahoma for school, Colin moves from Texas to Oklahoma for school. Sophie moves to 35 Degrees apartment complex in Edmond, Colin moves to 35 Degrees apartment complex. Colin moves back home to Texas, Sophie moves to Texas after graduation. Sophie moves back home to Oregon, Colin takes a travel assignment in Oregon. Between it all, the two share witty banter via phone. The two jokingly had a "pact" to get married at the age of 30 if they both were single... however, Sophie slowly moved the number down to 28. The two had never "officially" dated, but in January of 2024 things felt different. We reconnected once again (and by reconnect, we mean Sophie texted Colin "Hi" on 1/30 at 10:12 PM) during the final 3 weeks of Colin's travel assignment in Oregon. The problem was that Colin accepted a travel assignment in Fort Worth, Texas and was moving away. Long distance was never something the two wanted to do, but Colin was amazing at planning dates, booking flights, and making the "Hi" playlist full of songs that reminded the two of each other. We made it official at Grace in Fort Worth on April 12, 2024, Colin moved to Oregon with Sophie (and her two cats Aspyn and Blair) in June 2024, and the two got engaged at Camp Sherman on September 14, 2024.
