It all started a couple of Christmases ago, when Chase spotted a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice singing at Revolve Church. Did he introduce himself? NOPE... Did he ask her sweet friend, Jordyn for the details? YEP... Did they go on a date? NOPE. But, almost a year later, during the Christmas Program, there she was on that stage at church again, Chase again in the congregation, and this time, SHE messaged him and casually brought up the year before when he'd asked about her. This time, there was a date...one neither one of them really expected to be more than a meal. Chase had very little time for dating, because he was off to Boot Camp for the Coast Guard in a matter of weeks. But, date 1 turned into date 2, 3, and 4 and so on. There was something different about this one, we could all see it. Almost right away. The families had prayed for this, months earlier at our 21 days of prayer services at church. Chase's family was praying for a Godly match for their son while several chairs away, Sophie's parents were praying the same prayer for her. Time after time, we've seen the impossible made possible in their relationship, from time off for his military graduation magically working out and lining up, to wedding venue after venue being available with an 80 day notice, appointments opening up where there were none, even training dates for Chase being mysteriously moved forward in Virginia; allowing them to be married in October, just like Sophie's Pinterest board since she was a child would suggest. We are so excited to see this couple begin their lives as husband and wife. Shortly after the wedding they will be off to Hawaii where they will live until Chase has completed his service. Will we miss them? YESSSS, but do we trust that answered prayer has gotten them this far and that God will continue to hear our prayers on their behalf, yes. We do.
