Casey and Sophie’s story began in October 2022 at a Coldwell Banker retreat at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. What started as a casual meeting at the pool quickly turned into something more later that night at the HMF bar, where they talked for hours and discovered they had almost everything in common. All of this unfolded under the watchful eyes of excited fellow real estate agents observing from afar and snapping the sneaky photo you see above - and Sophie's parents, Tracy and John too, of course! From that moment on, they were inseparable for the rest of the trip. When it ended, they didn’t waste any time meeting back up in Boston where Casey decided taking Sophie out in Boston Harbor during a small craft advisory would be a perfect first date and prove to Sophie that he really knew how to boat. They quickly, “officially”, started dating. The very next day, Casey told his parents, Kim and Joe, about Sophie… and immediately insisted she join the family vacation only about a month away to visit his sister, who was studying abroad in Florence. It may have sounded bold, but Casey thought roaming Tuscany together was the perfect way for Sophie to truly get to know his family. It turned out to be an incredible trip, and by the end, it was clear that Sophie wasn’t just welcomed, it felt like she was already a part of the family. That trip marked the very beginning of what would become a shared love for travel. From skiing in Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, to exploring France and Ireland, to escaping Boston winters in Miami, Puerto Rico, and of course the BVI, their adventures together quickly became a defining part of their relationship.
Casey's introduction to Sophie's family's home in Newport Rhode Island was one of Sophie’s top priorities after they met - a place that holds so much meaning for her family. Between long summer days on the water, late nights at the Clarke Cooke House and soaking in everything Newport has to offer, it didn’t take long for Casey to fall in love with it. He quickly came to understand, and agree with, her family’s love for Newport, the ocean, and the lifestyle that comes with it. So much so that in September of 2025, Casey proposed to Sophie on the Shea’s boat “Shea La Vie” in Newport Harbor with family and friends waiting on land for a day (and night) long celebration to follow. Today, Casey and Sophie are building their lives together in Boston, growing their real estate businesses, planning future travels, and always searching for their next great meal as proud foodies. What began as a chance meeting has grown into a life full of love, laughter, family, adventure, and time spent on the water and the mountains - and they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
