WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

It all started back in 2014 when Sophie was a senior in high school and Brody was a freshman in college. Brodys roommate at the time was dating one of Sophies friends and through those mutual connections Brody got Sophies number! After going on a few dates we took it to the next level and officially started dating. Sophies 18 year old self was freaking out with excitement because she was head over heels for Brody. Summer of 2015 we went our separate ways without any communication until we reconnected three years later. As we both got out of relationships and were ready to live the single life, God decided it was time to see each other again. Sophie felt the pull to reach out to Brody and a simple Instagram message was sent on June, 26 2018 that said "So...coffee?" We met at Mo Java on June 30, 2018 and after catching up it felt like we couldn't get enough of each other. We made plans whenever we were available and on August 10, 2018 Sophie went for it again and asked Brody to be her boyfriend!! Flash forward to August 10, 2019 it was FINALLY Brodys turn to pop a question. "So...coffee?" turned into "So...Marry Me?" We've learned that life isn't always easy and the journey to find each other again sure wasn't either. The constant love, support, and peace we bring to one another is something we look forward to having the rest of our lives! We are so excited to celebrate our big day and make it official with the best family and friends!!

On August 10, 2019 Brody had an entire day planned to celebrate our one year anniversary (or at least that's what Sophie thought) It started out with brunch in Omaha with some of our closest friends and led into sippin some sangria at a winery. On the way back home we stopped by Brodys parents house to pick up Sophies present. Brody led Sophie inside with her eyes shut and surprised her with a beautiful white hutch! We saw this at goodwill on a random Saturday when it was painted bright blue. Sophie made the comment in total passing about how pretty it would look if it were white and Brody took the idea and ran with it. Brody told Sophie to look behind the sign that was sitting on the top shelf and she saw another sign that said "So...Marry Me?" She turned around and he was down on one knee *cue the tears* After saying YES all of our family and closest friends came upstairs from hiding in the basement to congratulate us and celebrate! A day we will never forget!
