No trip to Solvang would be complete without aebelskivers! There are plenty of places to get aebelskivers in Solvang, but Sophie's grandparents brought her to Solvang Restaurant many times throughout her childhood. Protip: order at the window and be sure to get them a la mode!
Copenhagen Sausage Garden
A perfect stop for lunch with plenty of sausages and beers to choose from.
Hitching Post 2
Great place for dinner or a glass of wine (or two). This restaurant and their wines were prominently featured in the 2004 film Sideways (read more here: https://hitchingpost2.com/sideways.html)!

Los Olivos
Andrew and Sophie's favorite place to walk around and try some of the valley's best wineries. Our favorite is called Coquelicot and has a beautiful patio.
Figueroa Mountain
One of Andy and Sophie's favorite hikes in Santa Barbara. Park at the turnout at the listed coordinates and enjoy a ~2.5 mile hike up a forest road to Figueroa Mountain Peak. From the peak look south to the Santa Ynez Valley, west to the Pacific Ocean, and north and east into Los Padres National Forest.
