Ali & Sophie

Things To Do

We're excited that you're coming to Minnesota! Here are a few fun things to do while you are in the area:

Gale Woods Farm

The venue is also a local park with hiking trails and an active farm. Feel free to go check it out and spot some animals grazing ahead of time!

Local Malls

MOA - The biggest mall in America. Use to be number 2, but they added on ~100 sqft in 2015 to take over King of Prussia Mall. If you want to join in on the festivities, you can get married here. Eden Prairie Mall: Located close to the Hampton Inn, this is memorable location for Ali and Sophie. It was THE place to hang out in 2009 and a place Ali learned to run in 1996. It is also the filming location of Mallrats, and the parking lot makes a cameo in Drop Dead Gorgeous. Iconic movies.

Landmarks

Round Lake Tennis Courts These will be closed, but if you want to see where Ali and Sophie first met feel free to swing by the courts. The Sculpture Garden Head to Minneapolis to take a quick picture with the Cherry on a Spoon or the Blue Chicken Stone Arch Bridge If you are looking for a classic Minnesota picture because you have never been here, the Stone Arch Bridge is probably the most instragrammed local photo shoot location Baseline Tennis Center Location at the University of Minnesota, this is where Ali and Sophie played their first and only doubles match together in 2012.

Indoor Mini Golf

Can Can Wonderland is an artist designed course in Saint Paul. It also has food and a full service bar. Golf Zone in Chaska is perfect for an evening of family mini golf.

Favorite Drink Spots

Burning Brothers in St. Paul is a fully gluten-free Brewery if you would like to celebrate Sophie by cheers-ing in a celiac friendly manor! Continuing with the celiac friendly options Minneapolis Cider Company and Number 12 Cidery in Minneapolis are both great options for fall cider. If you're over in Ali and Sophie's neck of the woods- check out Inver Grove Brewing for classic eats and drinks. You probably won't be in the southern suburbs, but it's an Ali/Sophie landmark. Unmapped Brewing is a good option a bit closer to the venue, up in Minnetonka! Excelsior Brewing another great option - this one is right by Lake Minnetonka and surrounded by lots of cute stores if that is your thing.
