Every great love story starts somewhere; ours began in 2021, in Build-A-Bear of all places! We met while working there, and soon formed a great friendship. For a whole year, we were “just friends”, the kind of friends who spent countless evenings gaming together online. From intense Mario Kart tournaments to the chaos of Overcooked, we became an unbeatable team (well… mostly). Everything changed in December 2022, when we had our first date wandering the Christmas markets in Liverpool. We’ve made it a tradition to visit a Christmas market every year for our anniversary, with fun ornaments, fairy lights, and far too many snacks included. Fast forward to August 2024: after a day of bumper cars, arcade games, and a ride on the iconic big wheel, Alex proposed in Coney Island, New York. Sophie said yes (obviously), and the celebrations began. In March this year, we grew our little family by adopting two cats, Roy, our ginger and white cuddle-obsessed boy, and Marceline (Marcey), our speedy little shadow with endless energy. Now, we’re counting down the days until we say “I do”, and we can’t wait to share that next chapter with all of you. About the Bride & Groom Sophie The creative heart of the duo, Sophie has an endless supply of enthusiasm for adventures big and small. She loves getting lost in arcade games or spending hours curled up with a good book. She has a soft spot for cosy nights in, fairy lights, and stories in every form. Alex The calm, steady player in the team, Alex, is an avid gamer with a love for all things digital. He balances competitive gaming energy with a knack for making every moment fun. He’s happiest when there’s a controller in his hands, a coffee nearby, and Sophie (and the cats) by his side. Together We’re a mix of cosy nights in, silly in-jokes, shared playlists, and spontaneous adventures. Whether we’re travelling somewhere new or curled up on the sofa with Roy and Marcey, life’s always better when we’re side by side.
