Abe and Sophie's story began outside a classroom at Brandeis University when Sophie approached Abe to ask if she could pet his dog, Buddy. Their shared love for animals sparked an instant connection and laid the foundation for their friendship. As fate would have it, they ended up working together on a final project for their global economics class, which brought them even closer. It wasn't until the summer of 2022, however, that their relationship truly began to blossom. Sophie reached out to Abe, suggesting they go to church together. As their bond deepened, Abe grew more comfortable with Sophie and decided to take a chance, inviting her to an Italian dinner. However, Sophie gently turned him down, explaining that she would soon be graduating and leaving Boston. Fast forward two months, just when Abe thought all hope was lost, Sophie surprised him by reaching out again. She had realized that she shouldn't let future uncertainties dictate her present feelings. In a sweet twist, Sophie asked Abe out—and, of course, he said yes. Fast forward two years, and Abe decided to take things a step further, asking Sophie for her hand in marriage. This time, without hesitation, she said yes.
