We both grew up in the small town of Wabasha, MN, but our paths didn't cross until the spring of 2011. After a few weeks of talking on the phone, Will mustered up the courage to ask me to go golfing with him. What started as a simple round of golf between friends led to eight years of loving and fun! After experiencing college, travelling abroad, and starting careers we love, we are excited to tie the knot! We cannot wait to share our wedding day with all of you!

After eight years of knowing each other so well, I was able to surprise Sophie with a beautiful engagement. A romantic dinner in front of the fireplace at the Nelson Cheese Factory was something we had wanted to do for years. While keeping her at bay with a glass of wine, I was able to pick up her favorite meal, set it up with candles and a fire, all while maintaining my cool throughout the night. After pulling off the elaborate surprise, I got down on one knee and asked Sophie if she would be my wife. Sophie, a woman of many words, could only breathlessly say "yes!"
