FAQs

Question

Where should I stay in the city?

Answer

If you're attending the rehearsal dinner, that and the church/Thistle Farms are 12 minutes drive apart. The church and Thistle Farms are across the street from each other. We recommend staying in Midtown or Sylvan Park area. Because of the number of guests and differences in travel plans, we are not setting aside a block of a hotel.

Question

Please note: there is a 3-hour difference between the mass end time and the reception.

Answer

Nashville is really fun! Because of logistics with the church and the reception venue, we couldn't host anything in the meantime. However, Nashville has so many breweries and attractions! Please take the time to get changed, take a nap, go to a brewery, explore McKay's (the biggest book store in Nashville - it's amazing!), or take a short hike through Percy Warner (20 minutes away). We hope you have fun!

Question

What time should I arrive at the church for the wedding ceremony? Where can I park?

Answer

Our wedding Mass will begin at 2pm. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early to find parking and grab a seat. Parking is available in the main church parking lot and in the empty lot across 51st street. You can also park on the side streets as space is available. If you arrive late, please enter through the back of the church (Charlotte Ave entrance) instead of the side doors.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

Yes, we will have wine and cider at the reception. If you would like to drink anything else that is not wine or cider, there are several great bars and breweries in the Sylvan Park area if you want to grab something before the reception. We recommend Streetcar Taps and Garden, which is within walking distance! https://streetcartaps.com/

Question

Where can I attend Mass on Sunday?

Answer

As the wedding mass does not count as our Sunday obligation, there are many local churches with Mass times to fit your schedule. The Cathedral will have Mass on Sunday at 8:30am, 11am, and 5pm. St. Ann has mass at 8:30am or 11am.
