The ceremony begins promptly at 2:30 p.m. Please arrive anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes early in order to be able to find parking and seating. Although University of the Pacific should be out for the semester, please account for needing to walk from the available parking lots.
For our out-of-town guests, welcome to Central California! Wine tasting in Lodi is a popular and close by treat (Harney Lane Vineyards and Intercoastal Wine are two of the Schmiedts' local favorites). The Haggin Museum in Stockton can be a quiet, calm afternoon. Shopping at Bass Pro Shops, the Modesto mall, or even the Livermore outlets can be a fun way to pass the time. For our most adventurous guests, the San Francisco Bay is two hours away and offers an endless amount of sightseeing.
In mid-December, you can expect cool days, fog, and occasional rain showers. The daytime highs are typically high 50s to low 60s, with the nighttime lows averaging in the high 30s. For the wedding, consider bringing layers, with a light-to-medium jacket usually being perfect.
Please bring your kids! We are happy to share this part of our life with every family member. The only request is that children do not play in the River Mill Gardens at the reception. They have had damage to their gardens in the past due to kids and have a zero tolerance policy.
Please no gifts larger than a card the day of! We want you hands free and ready to celebrate! We kindly ask that you use the registry on this website and ship any gifts to our Hawaii address (address TBD). This will make it easier for us to get on a plane and head home!
