In the midst of the pandemic chaos in 2020, we matched on the dating app, Hinge. We started talking on a daily basis immediately after matching and the conversations kept flowing so smoothly. After getting to know each other for a couple of weeks via text, we decided to try out FaceTime. Our first call ended up being over 3 hours, so you can say it went well. After a few more FaceTime dates, we finally decided to meet up in person in May 2020 with our dogs for a walk together along the Mississippi River in St. Paul, MN. It was then that we knew that this was going to be something. We began officially dating and tackled long distance between Davenport, Iowa and Savage, MN for two and half years while Ryan got his doctorate graduate degree in physical therapy. We then moved in together in Edina with Wally our dog. After 5 years of being together, Ryan got down on one knee proposing in the same spot as our first meet up, by the Mississippi river. <3
