Things To Do

Bend is the BEST and we're so excited to share our home with you! We love being a tourist in our own town, and would love to hear about all the things you check out while you're here!

Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway

Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway, Bend, OR

We HIGHLY recommend taking a drive up the Cascade Lakes Highway while you're in the area. As you drive, the gorgeous Cascade Mountain Range will become more and more visible, as well as some of the most beautiful crystal clear lakes you'll ever see. Set the GPS to Devils Lake and thank me later!

Smith Rock State Park

Terrebonne, OR 97760
, (800) 551-6949

Not attending our ceremony? Smith Rock is still a breathtaking place for a day trip. "Misery Ridge" trail is strenuous, but worth every second for the view at the top.

Downtown Bend

NW Wall St, Bend, OR 97703

Downtown Bend (the location of our reception) has so much to see. The Tower Theater is noticeably the center of the City, and has that old fashion charm. The area is also full of phenomenal food, local craft beer, and boutique shopping. While you're walking around, swing into Zydeco for the BBQ Shrimp, and Joolz for the Hummus. Some of my favorite local spots :)

Bend Ale Trail

Calling all beer lovers! Bend is home to the largest "Ale Trail" in the west. Meaning, we have more breweries per city than anywhere on the West Coast! Some of our absolute favorite breweries are Sunriver Brewing (Sophia's bias), Crux, Boneyard, Bend Brewing, Deschutes, Monkless Belgian Ales, and Boss Rambler

Looney Bean of Bend

961 Northwest Brooks Street, Bend, OR 97703
, (541) 408-9142

Wake up early one morning (or multiple) and head to Looney Bean. Not only is their coffee incredible, but their back patio is directly on the Deschutes and neighbors downtown Bend/ Drake Park. Its a beautiful place to start your day.

The Sparrow Bakery

50 Southeast Scott Street, Bend, OR 97701
, (541) 330-6321

Sparrow Bakery in Bend is iconic! They pioneered a breakfast pastry called the Ocean Roll and its LIFE CHANGING. Also, while you're there grab a Cardamom Vanilla Latte and the Bacon Breakfast Sando. If they're open, pop into the Work House and NW trading post to check out some incredible local art.

Wall Street Bar

917 Northwest Wall Street, Bend, OR 97701
, (541) 385-7098

For all our PSU invitees, check out Wall St Tavern. Order a Whiskey Ginger, No explanation needed.

McMenamins Old St. Francis School

700 Northwest Bond Street, Bend, OR 97703
, (541) 382-5174

McMenamin's has something for everyone. I highly recommend grabbing a cocktail at O'Kanes, and taking off to find the hidden rooms and the secret bar called "the Broom Closet". They also have a Roman-Style salt water soaking pool with an open ceiling that you need to check out!

Pilot Butte

Bend, OR 97701

Pilot Butte is an awesome way to view the city and have an incredible 360 degree view of the mountains from right in Bend. Its a mild hike up, or a drive to the top. Enjoy!

For all the days along the way
