Set the scene: 9th grade. Computer lab. "Kerry, stop talking! Go sit next to Sophia." "Who is that?" "Sophia, raise your hand." Kerry sat down beside me, and the rest was history... well not really. That was the last day of classes, so we both went on summer break and did our own thing. Then sophomore year came around, we had two classes together and safe to say, we liked each other. We eventually started dating, but alas, we were just kids. We ended up breaking up our junior year and spending the rest of the year learning about ourselves and preparing for our future. Then senior year came around, and we both confided in our good friend Jackie (one of the Maids of Honor) that we liked each other. She helped us get over awkwardness and start dating again, and the rest was history! (For real this time😌) We did long distance during our four years of college amidst sports, school, fraternity events, and career chasing. After college we had a beautiful summer together during which took trips to San Diego and Hilton Head. Then, at the end of that wonderful summer together, Kerry moved to Dallas, forcing us to do another YEAR AND A HALF of long distance. (Really God? JK, He had a plan for us). Finally, February of 2023, after years of visiting each other and racking up flight points, Kerry moved back to Fayetteville and the long distance portion of the relationship was over! The next year we took full advantage of living only 15 minutes away from each other, got involved in our young adult ministry, started looking for a church of our own, and did our best to figure out how people date normally (non-long distance style lol). It was the best year yet. And then, on March 2nd, 2024, Kerry popped the question!! The answer was yes, of course, and now we are here! Thank you so much for tuning in, and celebrating with us!!
