Kent and Sophia met in high school, and what began as a friendship grew into a relationship when they officially started dating on May 6, 2023. From movie nights for their first date to traveling and exploring museums together, they quickly realized they shared a love for adventure and for cheering on the Dallas Mavericks. Six months into their relationship, during a trip to New York City, they both felt certain that God had brought them together for a purpose and that they had found their forever in each other. Kent later proposed on the beautiful shores of Waialae Beach in Hawaii, surprising Sophia in a heartfelt moment shared only with their parents beforehand. They are excited to grow together in faith, travel the world, and build a life rooted in God’s love as they begin this new chapter “And the two shall become one flesh; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” - Mark 10:8–9
