Travel Note
Martha’s Vineyard is a popular destination, and car ferry reservations & accommodations book up very early in the season. To ensure the best availability and special rates, we highly recommend that you secure your travel and lodging arrangements sooner rather than later.

Flight
There are direct flights to Martha’s Vineyard from JFK, LaGuardia, HPN (Westchester Airport), and Logan Airport. Delta, JetBlue, American Airlines and Cape Air all fly regularly to MVY. We recommend checking prices and timing regularly and booking in advance.
Travel Note
Ferry runs one time each way per week on Friday afternoons at 4:00pm and returns Sundays (Monday of Labor Day in this case) at 4:00pm. The boat ride takes approximately 5 hours. No cars allowed on the ferry. We recommend booking early if you know this is your preferred mode of transportation for the weekend as the ferry will sell out (please note: you will miss the welcome drinks if you decide to choose this route).
Travel Note
Ferries run all day and very frequently. The boat ride is approximately 45 minutes. Cars are allowed on the ferry, but car reservations need to be booked far in advance. You can also walk-on and park in one of the lots (no advanced reservation required). Peter Pan Bus offers a shuttle from South Station and Logan Airport to Woods Hole Terminal.
Travel Note
Ferries run multiple times per day and the boat ride is approximately one hour. There are no cars allowed on the ferry, but you can drive and park at the ferry terminal or take Amtrak to Providence train station and Uber to the ferry terminal, which is approximately $25 - $35 (there is also a Seastreak shuttle from the Providence train station).
Travel Note
COVID 19 update: This ferry is not running. Ferries run a few times a day and the boat ride is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. There are no cars allowed on the ferry, but you can drive and park at the ferry terminal or take Amtrak to Providence train station and Uber to ferry terminal (there is also a shuttle from Providence train station).
